Bukayo Saka makes bold Arsenal and England prediction after Premier League start

Send Push

Bukayo Saka is setting his sights on a double triumph with both Arsenal and England this season, and he's confident it's within reach. The Gunners, under the guidance of Mikel Arteta, have made a sterling start to the season.

Currently leading the Premier League table by four points, Arsenal are emerging as early favourites for the title. Reigning champions Liverpool trail by seven points, while Manchester City are just one point better off.

But it's not just club glory that Saka has in his crosshairs; the winger also has his eyes set on international success. England have secured their place in next year's World Cup in the USA, with manager Thomas Tuchel expressing his ambition to lift the trophy.

Saka is optimistic about the possibility of achieving a club and country double. In an interview with Sky Sports, he stated: "Yeah, that's my pray. Of course it is doable.

"You can't really do anything if you don't believe in it. I believe it is possible. It won't be easy, definitely won't be easy, but yeah it is possible."

Arsenal's impressive start to the new season, with only one loss so far, has boosted Saka and his teammates' confidence that they can sustain this form throughout the season and ultimately clinch the title.

He further added: "This year I feel we're a very strong group and we've got a lot of quality. We've suffered already a lot of injuries, but the players that have come in have shown that we can all keep the level at the highest."

"I think that's where we've slipped off in a few seasons, but this season, we've got that and it's making me really believe we can do it."

For now, Saka is concentrating on his duties at Arsenal, but he's also keeping an eye on England's progress. The Three Lions have had a perfect qualifying campaign under the guidance of Thomas Tuchel.

Saka seems to hold the German coach in high regard. He stated: "I think he is a top coach, tactical understanding and with people as well he is very demanding, he knows how to get the best out of the players I would say."

Saka and his Arsenal teammates will return to the pitch on Wednesday evening when they face Brighton in the Carabao Cup, before their weekend match against newly-promoted Burnley. Meanwhile, England's next fixture sees them take on Serbia in their second-to-last qualifying match next month.
