Viktor Gyokeres tells Mikel Arteta what he wants to hear with honest Arsenal admission

Viktor Gyokeres has opened up on the challenges he has faced in the early months of his Arsenalcareer and life in the Premier League as he and the Gunners prepare to face Manchester City.

Arsenal signed Gyokeresfrom Portuguese side Sporting CP during the summer transfer window in a deal worth an initial €63.5million (£55.4million) plus a further €10million (£8.7million) in add-ons.

Gyokeres has since gone on to score three goals across his first five appearances as an Arsenal player and has been included in the starting line-up in every match this term by manager Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal signed Gyokeres after being heavily linked with signing a striker for more than a year and now the Sweden international has spoken about how he's finding life in north London and the Premier League.

"It's been different in games," Gyokeres said during an interview with Sky Sports. "Some games have been tougher - where I couldn't perform how I wanted. That's maybe depending on how the game looked. But I had games where I felt very good.

"So it's been up and down but, overall, I've managed to score a few goals and we have won most of the games. So it's been quite a good start, but it could be better."

Gyokeres will now be hoping to get on the score-sheet when Arsenal meet City in the Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon (4.30pm).

After Liverpool's win over Everton on Saturday, the Gunners are now six points behind the Merseyside outfit with a game in hand, which will come this afternoon.

Gyokeres, 27, is expected to lead the line against City. Even though the Swede has impressed in the early stages of his Arsenal career, his pre-match comments will no doubt delight Arteta as he aims to reach another level, still.
