Children are increasingly obsessed with games. Recently, a 13-year-old boy in Lucknow lost ₹1.3 million from his father's account in the Free Fire game, after which the child, terrified, hanged himself. If your child also uses your phone, make some important settings on your phone before handing it over to him to ensure the safety of both your bank account and your child.
What was the whole matter?
This 14-year-old boy, a sixth-grade student, frequently played Free Fire on his father's mobile phone. Driven by the lure of winning a prize, he gradually used ₹1.3 million from his father's account for the game. When his father went to the bank to withdraw the money, he discovered this. The father scolded him and tried to reason with him, but the child, enraged, hanged himself.
Note: These important settings should be set on your mobile phone.
Set bank account and UPI limits: If your child also uses your phone, be careful and set limits on your bank account and UPI. Once you set a limit, your child will not be able to spend more than that limit.
Activate Parental Controls: Whether it's an Android or an iPhone, both have parental control features. By turning this feature on, your child will only be able to access limited things.
Block In-App Purchases: If your child has downloaded a game on your phone, block in-app purchases in the game before giving it to them.
Turn on password confirmation for purchases from Google Play Store and App Store.
Strong Passwords: Before giving the phone to your child, set a strong password for banking apps and UPI installed on the mobile. If you wish, you can also set a biometric lock.
