Actor Rhea Chakraborty finally received her passport on Friday, nearly five years after surrendering it in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput case. The Bombay High Court recently ruled in her favour, paving the way for the return of her document.

Taking to Instagram, Rhea shared an emotional note reflecting on the challenging years she has endured, highlighting that “patience” was her only passport throughout this period.

“Patience was my only passport for the past five years. Countless battles. Endless hope. Today, I hold my passport again. Ready for Chapter 2!” she wrote.

Struggles Amid the Spotlight

Rhea first came into the limelight following the tragic death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June 2020. Reports suggested she was in a relationship with him. The subsequent investigation into his death led to her custody by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on September 8, 2020, in a drugs-related case linked to the actor’s death.

As part of her bail conditions, she was required to deposit her passport with the NCB, which remained with authorities for nearly five years.

With her passport now back in hand, Rhea appears ready to move forward and start a new chapter in her life. Her emotional post resonated with fans and followers, who celebrated her resilience and strength.
