After stressful wedding planning and the excitement of the wedding day, couples look forward to unwind and relax for a nice break away from the chaos.
Most honeymoons vary from, relaxing by the beach, thrill-seeking adventures, discovering new sights or taking in the breath-taking views. With UK Google searches for "honeymoon" going up by 50% in the past three months alone, it's evident that couples want to look for the best place to celebrate.
Long-haul travel specialists at Travelbaganalysed how much bookings have developed over three months (May to July 2025) and the UK Google search volume for each destination, creating an overall score to see what is trending for Brits to go to.

Overall, Bali leads the way with the honeymoon list as bookings are up 16% in the three months and there has been 8,400 annual UK searches. It is known for its picturesque mountain views and yoga retreats.
Coming in a very close second is the Maldives, the archipelago renowned for its crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches. This famed spot has also had 8,400 searches per year from Brits.
In third place, is Mauritius, the island located in East Africa had an 8% increase in bookings over those three months and more than 7,000 Google searches per year. The natural wonders, and landscapes attracts newly-weds for a scenic getaway.
The top ten, based on booking changes between May and July 2025 and the average UK annual search volume, were as follows:

9. Sri Lanka
10. Costa Rica
The Bahamas and Tanzania have seen a 200% and 117% booking increase between those three months. Tanzania has grown in popularity with couples able to explore the gorgeous scenery, and encounter different wildlife at one of the most incredible natural safari destinations: Ngorongoro Crater, named as Africa's Seven Natural Wonders.

"At this time of year, temperatures range between 24°C and 31°C, so you’ll need to make sure you pack your sunscreen. Relaxation and romance take centre stage here. You can enjoy day-diving trips or head out on a glass-bottomed kayak together.
"But if you’re looking for something more exciting, there are plenty of watersports available on the islands, including water skiing and parasailing. You could even try a Maldivian cooking class to take some culinary skills back home with you."
With these holiday paradises it's easy to see why Brits are so eager to go and enjoy their well-deserved honeymoon.
