CNN was halted for a major developing story as a live report came from a huge protest gathering outside Trump Tower in Chicago. Thousands of people were heard shouting as Law Enforcement Correspondent Whitney Wild reported live from the tense event, as people vented their frustration as US President Donald Trump.
She said to the camera: "We are right outside Trump Tower, you can hear the crowd, I'll let you hear what they're saying," as people walked past and loudly booed towards the tower. Wild continued: "As people are marching past the tower, they're giving the middle finger, they're booing and shouting shame, This is the place where they can vent their frustration they feel directly to the President as the letters of his last name adorn the business one of the most iconic streets in Chicago, we're right on Wacker.
"There are tens of thousands of people here, and it's notable because there was a No Kings March in June and it wasn't this big, this is enormous."

The video sparked a divided response from X users, as one said: "Every step crushed his delusions. The ego, the crown, the throne all meaningless in the face of Americans rising. This isn't bulls**t, this is real. it's a WINNING democracy doesn't bow, it humbles, it marches, and it will remove anyone who thinks they're above the law. Trump, your coronation is over before it began."
Another added: "Protests often pick landmark backdrops to amplify symbolism and media reach, and Trump Tower is prime stagecraft. In Chicago, large marches use permitted routes with police escorts, so the dramatic pass by is choreographed more than it looks. Bonus twist, tall glass facades."
But one furiously asked: "Showing a huge building with his name on it is supposed to humiliate him?" as another agreed: "Wait. walking by a building is considered amazing now? Just how low is your bar?"
The No Kings March has seen Americans across all 50 states marching in protests against the Trump administration "sliding into authoritarianism" with the message behind it being "there should be no kings in the US". Events are scheduled for more than 2,700 locations, from small towns to large cities.
