The seventh episode of 'With Love, Meghan' season two, sees Meghan Markle leaving her home in Montecito for a night away with her friend, Heather Dorak, and it begins with the duchess packing a bag. Meghan displays her open bag on a bed and begins placing clothes into piles and sections, explaining the simple task of how to pack items away neatly.
Meghan explains: "Seeing it all is really helpful. I used to be one of those people who said 'Let's just throw everything in the bag.' Then you get there and go, 'Oh gosh, I forgot that thing'. So I've become really conscious of the things I need that are uniform and staples that you can mix and match."
Meghan further added: "Let's say Heather and I will go for a quick coffee or breakfast. White T-shirt, jeans, I'll toss a blazer in."
Going back to her "auditioning days," Meghan shares advice an acting agent once said to her, "If you're prepared, there's no need to be nervous."
Viewers of the show have been quick to criticise the simple task Meghan chose to share on the streaming platform. One wrote: "Megsy has moved from pretzels in plastic bags to packing clothes in suitcases. Bless her heart."
Another wrote on X: "Next episode, how to arrange your cell phone wallet", whereas a third, joked: "No wonder this stuff wasn't in the first batch. Good Lord!"
A social media user said: "Bewildering. So many people travel a lot these days, does she really think we need this lesson?"
One commented: "HOW did any of us get along without her tips and tricks? I never knew you folded clothes to put them in a suitcase. I always just balled them up and shoved them in."
An X user, wrote: "Good grief! This is scraping the bottom of the barrel!"
A fan questioned: "So does this mean she packed a bag to take to the rented house for Netflix filming, to then unpack it and then re-pack in front of cameras?"
The things that "bring her joy" when Meghan packed included a baseball cap. For her night away, Meghan chose to take a hat she made for Prince Harry's 40th birthday party, with the wording PH40 on it, referring to Harry's recent 40th birthday.
Meghan also claims she packs a photo of her loved ones. She explains: "I just went on a girls' trip recently. My girlfriends were like, 'My god, that's so sweet, you keep it by the side of your bed!' Yeah, you could look at your phone... I don't know, I'm sentimental in that way."
In her Instagram post sharing the trailer of the new season, Meghan wrote: "I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it. Wishing you all a fantastic new year! Thanks to our amazing crew and the team @netflix. Beyond grateful for the support - and fun!"
