
Prince Harry's account of his royal upbringing has been questioned by King Charles's former butler, Grant Harrold. Mr Harrold, who served the monarch for seven years, said he was surprised by the Duke of Sussex's claims in his explosive memoir, Spare, saying the Prince's account "doesn't add up."
Mr Harrold, speaking to Fox News Digital, recalled cheerful family moments and little in the way of tension. The butler insists he never saw signs of mental health struggles or sibling rivalry that Harry describes in his memoir - while readily admitting that did not mean it never happened. He further acknowledged that memories can differ, citing Queen Elizabeth II's own comment that "recollections may vary".
